Leadership and Transformation and Working with People27 Aug 2008 09:13 pm

In my radio show interview last week, Byron Katie took me into a direct experience of her turnaround process. She worked with some tension I was struggling with around a business mistake. Katie guided me to see through the belief that was holding me stuck and I have to say I felt remarkably free from doing this work with her. We also talked of particular applications of this work for high achievers and in the context of team alignment issues.

Last week I had a lively interview with Raz Ingrasci of the Hoffman Institute. Raz shared his experience of guiding people into a deeper authenticity and aliveness. Including a live demo with me. The Hoffman work combines extensive inventory and release of resistances learned in early life with an awakening to the passion and purpose of inner being. It was great to get a direct feel of it from Raz. That show can be accessed from this link:

Your Personal Turnaround

My guest is Byron Katie, founder of The Work.

Katie has one job: to teach people how to end their own suffering. As she guides people through the process of inquiry called The Work, they find that their stressful beliefs—about life, other people, or themselves—radically shift and their lives are changed forever. Based on Byron Katie’s direct experience of how suffering is created and ended, The Work is an astonishingly simple process, accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds, and requires nothing more than a pen and paper and an open mind. Through this process, anyone can learn to trace unhappiness to its source and eliminate it there. So join Katie and me at 10 am Pacific next Thursday and learn some of these tools to open minds and set people free.

In last week’s show, James Flaherty gave us a number of keys to evoking excellence in others. He talked about how to listen for what people are not saying to you and ways to guide people to discover for themselves what will open new doors for them. That show can be accessed from this link:
